Resumes normally get less than a 15-second glance at the first screening. If someone has asked you to review his resume and you want to help him ensure it gets read — or want to know if your own is up to par — be sure you can answer yes […]
I had been looking for a job locally in Galveston for quite some time without success. Many recruiters said they would help, but I often felt like just a number or forgotten altogether. I was starting to get discouraged. From the very beginning, Nick Mastrovito reached out to connect with me by email after seeing that I had applied for a position he had opened in Galveston with his client. We then interviewed over the phone. Nick genuinely showed that he wanted to help and guide me through the entire process. He even offered coaching if needed and continued checking in to help with anything I might need, including interview preparation and different interview scenarios. I felt heard and truly felt his genuine desire to help me succeed. Nick scheduled the interview and checked in with me a couple of days beforehand, again the day before, and the day of the interview. He also reminded me to call him afterward to discuss how it went. He never ignored my calls or texts and was always ready to help, guide, and encourage me. To me, that speaks volumes. Sometimes we all need encouragement and reassurance. I remained optimistic, and then Nick texted me to let me know I had received an offer. I was so excited. Even after I accepted the position, he continued to check on me through my starting date. I would highly recommend Nick Mastrovito with Patrice & Associates. Starting a new job is always nerve-wracking, but I truly feel I made the right choice. Nick shared that the company has strong employee tenure, which is exactly what I was looking for — longevity, stability, and a positive environment where I can thrive and call my new work home.
Thank you again for all your help,
Wendy P.
