Has this ever happened to you? You have applied to 17 companies over the past 3 weeks. You know some of the companies have gotten your resume because you have gotten a couple of form letter post cards thanking you for applying and informing you they are reviewing all applications. […]
Your average job seeker just doesn’t “get” what a recruiter does. This is apparent to anyone that’s ever heard a friend or relative complain about a recruiter “not finding them a job.” If you’re planning on working with recruiters or with a staffing firm, here are a few things to […]
Have you ever had one of those days, when you unable to focus on those tasks and results that were most important to you? Technology, although wonderful, has given others 24/7 access to you through voice mail, email, texting and cell phones. Answering messages in your email inbox could wipe […]
It is important to have an agenda for each day of your job search so you can focus on the priorities most important to you. You don’t want your email inbox to determine the level of results you will achieve each day. Beware of your inbox! It is often a […]
Aside from your job interview, the conversation in which you give notice is one of the most important ones you will have while working at a company. Learn how to do it well, and you’ll keep contacts open for future opportunities each time you move. Do it poorly, and you’ll […]
Imagine you’ve been on the job market for about six months. You are paying your mortgage on your credit cards at this point. Your unemployment benefits are about to run out and your job prospects remain dismal, no matter what you seem to do. Finally, you land a killer opportunity, […]
It’s important not to focus on job titles when you are conducting your job search. There are often many different titles for the exact same job and level of responsibility. Also, don’t be afraid to apply for a job with a new or different title. Some of the fastest growing […]
You don’t have to like everyone you work with. And your co-workers don’t have to like you. While it’s great to have friends on the job, this doesn’t always happen. In fact, it’s almost inevitable there will be some people you don’t like or find difficult to get along with […]
Darla Donovan is by far the best recruiter I have had the pleasure of working with.
I have used recruiters in the past, but none even came close to the level of professionalism that Darla showed. She was very in depth with me regarding the position as well as the expectations of the company I was applying for. She provided me with great interview tips as well as coached me through the process. I believe she was very thorough in preparing me for the interviews as well as giving me a lot of information on the company itself.
She has been a real pleasure to work with and I would certainly recommend her to anyone in the industry that needs someone to look out for their best interests. I appreciate her support and coaching throughout this process. She has reached out several times since I accepted the offer, just to see how I am doing and to check in on me. That's something I have NEVER experienced with a recruiter and appreciate her thoughtfulness. She also sent a card congratulating me on the new position! She is a wonderful person and a great recruiter!!
Thank you for everything!

Rick was amazing!
He never stopped working to help me get this position. I would not have this job if it was not for him. He walked me through every step, gave great tips and advice, and followed up with the company throughout the process to make sure everything was good. I will never be able to thank him enough for this. I will send anyone I know who needs help finding a job to Rick Kallsen with Patrice & Associates!!
Thank you all!!!!!

I had a wonderful experience working with Rick Kallsen. Rick was extremely responsive and resourceful from the beginning to the end of the recruiting process. Rick was positive and encouraging and gave me the appropriate tools to help me do my best during the interview process. He was extremely clear on timelines and expectations and continuously checked in to keep me up to date. Rick was with me every step of the process and I truly appreciated having him in my corner. I could not have landed this new role without his support and knowledge!
Thank you!

Rick was extremely helpful throughout the process!
I am very pleased to accept my new position. Rick Kallsen contacted me through LinkedIn about the opportunity and was extremely helpful through the process. Our initial phone interview proved that Rick was invested in connecting me to the new employer. He followed up with me after every interview and provided me with helpful tactics through the process, such as an updated resume, interview tips and thank you letter examples. I felt he really cared about my progress through the process and was genuinely happy for me after receiving the offer. I am very appreciative to Rick and Patrice & Associates and would recommend him to anyone pursuing a new career.
