Once again, the December labor numbers signal that it is still a tough road for employers seeking quality talent. Now, there are even more jobs to fill. A whopping 216,000 more, which exceeded the expectation of about 170,000. It’s also a big jump from the 173,000 jobs […]
The pace of hiring may have slowed down a bit over the course of the last few months, and employment stabilized (it had to come sometime), but that doesn’t mean that filling the positions or retaining the best employers has gotten any easier for U.S. businesses. CCG: If […]

This month’s job report could be tied to a desired economic cool down or just a sign of the season. For months now, the Fed has been steadily raising interest rates to lever down inflation and ease the economy into a soft landing rather than a full recession. Conscious Capital […]
The recent job numbers may have surprised Wall Street and even some jobs report watchers who thought the September numbers would be half what they were. Understandable if those predictions were based on industry surveys and the steady increase in interest rates designed to slow the economy and scare away […]

I had a great experience with John Gatewood! He overextended his time to get me the perfect job. I would recommend him to everyone. He walked me through the process of the interview, helped me understand what my interviewer was looking for, and more than anything was a great tool. Thank you very much John, I owe you one! I would work with you again in a heartbeat. I appreciated you very much.
Thank you,

I don’t know where to start. John absolutely is a god send. He walked me through my journey of getting a manager position at a great restaurant every step of the way. We probably talked 10 – 12 times on the phone, texted repeatedly and stayed in communication throughout the whole process. He gave me great tips for my interview and answered every question I had. Without his help I would never have had the opportunity to get this chance to work for this great company. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did for me. Thank you so much John, you’re the best!

There are not enough words to describe the man and the professional John is. I was in a difficult spot in my career and personal life. I thought I was done being a chef. Out of the blue John found me from an old application. I wasn’t trying to hear the same old spill that I’ve heard times before. Something in my gut said to stay and hear John out. John worked tirelessly and kept in constant communication, and I stayed the course with him. He even put his name on the line to get me in front of a higher up. Long story short I’m now in a better situation than I could have imagined. I will always recommend John to fellow chefs he wasn’t just lip service, John cares. And I appreciate him beyond words.
Michael B. doesn’t have enough words to describe John Gatewood’s professionalism!
I had a wonderful experience working with John to advance my career; he’s very attentive and professional. My first time trying to find a position with him was short-lived because the position had closed right when we moved forward. A month later, out of pure dedication to my success, he reached out, saying he didn’t like how our last attempt went and that if I was still in the market, he had another opportunity for me to look at. Now, John wasn’t just throwing useless positions at me to close a deal, so to speak. There was genuine effort to remember things about me that we discussed, my goals and personality, to present to me what would be nothing short of a perfect position where I and my new employer would be able to build a long term, positive relationship. I can tell Mr. Gatewood looks to place people where they will feel valued and stick around, not have you coming to look for another position in six months. If I have anyone looking to advance their career, I will definitely refer them to John, and I’m certain they will be pleased with the experience!
