New Years Resolution – Weekly Review of your Job Search

Starting this week, commit to a weekly review of your job search.  Ask yourself three questions each Friday:

1. What is the 20% of what I did that provided 80% of my results?
(Do more of those actions in the coming week)
2. How did I waste time?
(Stop those actions immediately)
3. What new idea should I implement next week?
(This will help you keep your job search effective and eliminates bad habits)

When you implement this weekly review, you may have a bad week in your search, but you will never have a bad month.

If you want to take this one step further, each evening before you end your search efforts for the day, write down the six actions you will take the following day that will advance your search.  You then commit to finishing 100% of these six actions.  This will keep you focused and provide you with better results.

You must embrace change and go beyond you comfort zone or current habits.  The reward is definitely worth the effort!
