Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day retail operations at Marina
  • Create an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed
  • Operate cash register, complete paperwork and required counts
  • Is responsible to oversee the operations of a retail store to ensure that sales objectives are met
  • Provide support to Service Manager, Service Team, and customers
  • Order, return, receive, and dispatch parts to appropriate department
  • Encourage sales and act as liaison with customers where appropriate
  • Available to work overtime when required
  • Must be friendly, cheerful, hardworking and conscientious
  • Help Supervise the Ship Store with particular attention to inventory management and internal controlls
  • Can-do attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently and follow procedures.
  • Accuracy and thoroughness of work.
  • Organized and communicate well.

Position Requirements

  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
  • Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior marina experience preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Marine systems preferred
  • Experience with computers.
  • Experience with researching parts systems and purchasing.
  • Knowledge of fishing and tackle is preferred, but not required.
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Experience writing service orders a plus
