Has this ever happened to you? You have applied to 17 companies over the past 3 weeks. You know some of the companies have gotten your resume because you have gotten a couple of form letter post cards thanking you for applying and informing you they are reviewing all applications. […]
Your average job seeker just doesn’t “get” what a recruiter does. This is apparent to anyone that’s ever heard a friend or relative complain about a recruiter “not finding them a job.” If you’re planning on working with recruiters or with a staffing firm, here are a few things to […]
Have you ever had one of those days, when you unable to focus on those tasks and results that were most important to you? Technology, although wonderful, has given others 24/7 access to you through voice mail, email, texting and cell phones. Answering messages in your email inbox could wipe […]
It is important to have an agenda for each day of your job search so you can focus on the priorities most important to you. You don’t want your email inbox to determine the level of results you will achieve each day. Beware of your inbox! It is often a […]
Aside from your job interview, the conversation in which you give notice is one of the most important ones you will have while working at a company. Learn how to do it well, and you’ll keep contacts open for future opportunities each time you move. Do it poorly, and you’ll […]
Imagine you’ve been on the job market for about six months. You are paying your mortgage on your credit cards at this point. Your unemployment benefits are about to run out and your job prospects remain dismal, no matter what you seem to do. Finally, you land a killer opportunity, […]
It’s important not to focus on job titles when you are conducting your job search. There are often many different titles for the exact same job and level of responsibility. Also, don’t be afraid to apply for a job with a new or different title. Some of the fastest growing […]
You don’t have to like everyone you work with. And your co-workers don’t have to like you. While it’s great to have friends on the job, this doesn’t always happen. In fact, it’s almost inevitable there will be some people you don’t like or find difficult to get along with […]
I wasn’t looking. I was genuinely happy in my role and had no plans to make a move. But Brian reached out with an opportunity that gave me pause, and that’s not easy to do.
What stood out was that he clearly understood who I was and what my next step could look like. He wasn’t casting a wide net. He brought me something specific, at a level that matched where I was headed, with an organization whose values aligned with mine, and he made a compelling case for why it was worth a conversation.
I accepted a General Manager position overseeing a collection of luxury oceanfront properties in Maine, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. It takes real skill to find the perfect match at exactly the right moment. Brian did exactly that, and I cannot thank him enough.
Thank You,
Melissa S.

I first met Casey back in August of this year. At the time, I wasn’t actively seeking a job change, but Casey’s open and relaxed approach encouraged me to explore the opportunity he presented. We discussed the available position and the possibility of me applying. When I felt the timing was right, Casey guided me through the details of the company so thoroughly that I felt like I already knew the property and many of the people working there.
His encouragement and insights helped me breeze through the interview process and even enjoy touring the property. It was, by far, the easiest and most enjoyable interview experience I’ve ever had. With Casey’s support, I felt confident I had the job before I even stepped foot on the property for my first tour.
I thought I had my dream job at my previous property, but I now realize I’m truly in my dream role—with the most amazing team I could ask for. As I’ve told Casey, I’ll forever be grateful for the role he played in placing me here. He’s a true rock star and an invaluable asset to Patrice & Associates.
A huge THANK YOU to Casey Chapman and the entire team of Patrice & Associates!
Warmest Regards,
Danielle S.

Casey Chapman was instrumental in helping me find a new job after a sudden layoff. He was professional and easy to talk to from the beginning. He passed along my information to a company I was excited to work with, then helped me prepare for my subsequent interviews. He was transparent every step of the way. It was a pleasure working with him, and I would recommend him if you need help finding a new job.

Happy Sunday to you and would love to sing the praises of Brian! Appreciating I will be starting with a new company and would first like to “feel things out”, is it possible to resend this email (as a reminder) in a month or two once I get settled?
