Wow – what a testimonial for Mike – Indianapolis Franchisee!

My name is Duncan Savage and I first made contact with Mike Cinamon at Patrice & Associates on February 18, 2014. I emailed him my resume and essentially what I was looking for. Mike got back with me the very next day and within minutes of a conversation with him, he suggested looking into the chain of restaurants called First Watch.

Mike made contact with other companies in the area we were looking at as a tentative backup plan, but First Watch was our primary pursuit. In a shortened summary, I informed Mike my wife and I were recently married in October and were looking for a quality of life that was more suited for raising a family and having the ability to actually see our future children grow up. We also wanted to be in a certain area of Florida as we love the sunshine and outdoors that Florida can offer year round, and want to offer our children the opportunity to grow up in that environment.

I had been with the same steakhouse chain for what had been my only career as an adult for the past 12 years, and since I was 18, so I was very comfortable and trusting with that company. Mike spoke of First Watch with confidence on the growth of the company and the fact that each unit is only open from 7:00am to 2:30pm each day of the week. This is compared to my last 12 years of 60-70-80 hours a week generally going in at 8:00am and not getting home until 10:00pm or later 5 and sometimes 6 or 7 days a week.

This is just commonplace in the concept of most steakhouse restaurants and I am the one who got started in this business, so it was what I had setout to do so far for myself as my career. I love the guys I had worked for the past 12 years and I knew it would be difficult for me to find an opportunity to have the quality of life that we wanted and be employed by a company that I would trust to treat me as well as I had been treated for that time.

I was wrong on the difficult part. The fact I will be home every evening alone makes me know I will be able to see our future children grow up. Mike informed me that he has placed multiple managers with First Watch and keeps in contact with them to ensure that he is placing people like me with a suitable, trustworthy  company. First Watch has multiple locations all over Florida and the areas we want to be in. Within a month I had accepted a position with First Watch and Mike walked me through every step of the hiring process.

This helped tremendously because of the fact that I had never really looked for a job/career  before and had no idea how the process worked. My wife and I, and Mike, were located in the Indianapolis area and we were able to make the process happen as though we were all in the same area even though we were 1,000 miles away, literally.

I am set to  start my new career with First Watch in St. Pete, FL on April 21, 2014. Mike Cinamon at Patrice & Associates laid out a plan in front of me to get my wife and I on the path of where we wanted to be, and all I had to do was pay attention and follow through with the best of my abilities leading the way.

I will be extremely thankful for that, as well as my wife and our future children, and our future ahead of us is now open to how we dreamed it could be.
