Hello, I’m James Hasegawa and I’m a Patrice and Associates franchisee in Irvine, California. I’ve been a client relations professional for over 20 years in several different industries: healthcare, life sciences, professional sports, and in real estate. I’ve successfully recruited, developed, and earned referral relationships with patients, clients, customers, investors, sponsors, and other stakeholders during the course of my career. I listen to them, hear them, address their concerns each step of the way, and arrive at a satisfying conclusion. The greatest reward for me is to help them fulfill their goals, whether it’s their health or wealth. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than earning their trust and gaining referrals from their network for me to help their friends and associates. I joined Patrice and Associates as a franchisee because I’d love to be able to help both candidates and companies fulfill their goals, whether it’s career advancement or an outstanding hire, and develop a win-win situation for all parties.

I am extremely detail-oriented and served as a consulting medical writer and editor for scientists and academics in medicine and biology prepare their manuscripts for publication. So, I am well-trained to systematically look for errors, lack of clarity, logic, content, and flow. Therefore, I can help prepare candidates’ resumes and other relevant documents as professional as possible to help catch the attention of the hiring managers.
In healthcare as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, I assisted many patients with their healthcare needs, including many difficult-to-treat problems that aren’t well understood or treated by conventional Western medicine. Every step of the way, I listened to their issues, assessed them, proposed a treatment plan for them to follow specifically for their case. Every case is special and you are special. So, I will bring this level of attention and professionalism to your employment case as well.
In the life sciences industry (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, biologics), I was an analyst for a management consulting company in China and assisted start-up companies and research organizations with their pitch presentations for joint venturing with more established players in the West. With cultural differences at play, I ensured that my clients’ ideas were well-presented for the potential partners to hear and understand. I was, in essence, already a match-maker. And this fits right in with my role as a Patrice and Associates franchisee.
Other than these work histories with significant applicable and transferable skills, I am also multilingual in English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese. A son of an immigrant family, my family’s first business in the U.S. was in the restaurant business. So, I can appreciate how hard one works in this industry with long hours and hardly any days off. Now it’s come full circle as I’ve acquired all the education, experience, and training to ensure that I can provide you with an A+ service in this dynamic industry in hospitality.
