Patrice & Associates is the largest hospitality recruiter in the world. What we do at Patrice is to act as a staffing partner to client businesses who are looking for only “A level” candidates. We do this with three particular levers of sourcing. We post ads on job boards. We use our massive CRM database, Big Biller, to source not only candidates, but also client companies, and jobs. The third lever is what sets us apart from other recruiting companies. While other companies may have their newer recruiters make phone calls, that is not a consistent method that they continue to use. At P&A we ensure to make a minimum 100 connections per week, every week, directly to the store level. In doing this, we are able to tap into an entire group of candidates who would not be found otherwise with conventional ads posted by clients in need of help. Many of these candidates are people who are not actively looking for a new job otherwise, but may realize after speaking with us that there are more desirable options out there. As for my background, I am a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, having worked in both restaurants and hotels, since the age of 15. I have held several positions in the restaurant industry ranging from a server/bartender, up to a Beverage Manager and Assistant General Manager. In the hotel industry I started as a Front Desk Agent, eventually moving up to an Assistant Front Office and Finance Manager. I am well-versed in the requirements of various positions within both industry sectors. Having been both a candidate looking for the right job, and also a member of a business looking to hire talent, I understand the many challenges, especially today, that both a candidate and company are facing.
The reason I am in my current position is to do some good in our industry. I have a heartfelt determination to help that business that is desperate to find managers in order to run successfully, and not be stretched thin. I also want to help that candidate who wants to be truly happy and confident in a new position. Having spent the last two years of my restaurant career constantly working with an incomplete management team, I truly understand the struggles that present themselves. Being understaffed means longer hours for the existing team which negatively impacts them in regards to quality of life, and can cause further issues. My goal is to assist those teams in finding the staff they need toput them in a comfortable, successful spot. Knowing that I have contributed to relieving a business of that struggle, is something that is truly gratifying to me. I will certainly work diligently to provide that assistance to either side.
