About Jodi Baer

I’ve been fortunate to have a fulfilling and successful career in retail. I began as a manager for a franchise business which then became company owned. Although, I was working for the largest maternity clothing retailer, I’ve always maintained that entrepreneurial spirit with a heightened sense of ownership. My Manhattan location was top volume enabling me to win numerous awards, including store of the year twice. I became an Area Manager,Inventory Auditor, and Corporate Liaison. In the early years of the company, I traveled to other states to open new locations and train new teams.The last 13 years were spent working in Brooklyn. I’ve witnessed the phenomenal growth in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Recruiting has always been part of my responsibilities. I’ve had to have a sense of urgency as open positions can negatively impact business. Continuously networking to build relationships, always having a pool of candidates as well as developing bench strength with existing employees.

Training and coaching became a passion. Instilling confidence and providing the tools necessary to succeed. My biggest reward is to watch someone grow and advance in their career. I enjoy being a mentor to many.

Back at the end of March my wife and I turned our restaurant over to our daughter and son in-law to run, with the idea we would retire. We took a couple of trips and got somethings done around the house.  By the first of July I knew the retirement life was not for me.
