Sauban may take a more than a word to answer where he is from; originally from New Delhi, India, he has spent significant portions of his life living in Doha, Qatar. He has his bachelor’s in social work and graduated with an honors degree. He went on to compete his master’s in Human Resource Management. He met his wife Lubna in college, and they have been together for 28 years. Lubna has completed two master’s programs: one in Biosciences and another in Education. Together, they have one daughter, Nimra Siddiqui, who graduates from Bowdoin College in the Spring of 2022 with a double major in Mathematics and Political Science.
Sauban is a qualified Human Resources (HR) Generalist with an expertise in Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. With 26 years of a professional career, he has worked in both, multinational corporations as well as large scale national operations. Sauban is a goal-oriented and results-driven individual. Some of his more challenging yet fondest experiences have revolved around creating the foundation of HR practices at his workplace. He has laid the groundwork for exceptional hiring practices and has pioneered the creation, and often introduction, of policies and practices with the aim of creating a high-performanceworkplace with an emphasis on employee satisfaction and happiness.
Sauban has been in a variety of roles, starting off as an HR Executive fresh out of his master’s program and working his way up to the ranks of Deputy Manager HR, Senior Manager HR, and in his most recent role, Vice President HR. He values the skills he has learned in all of his roles, including but not limited to,Policy Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Work Force Management. As VP HR, he incorporated all said skills into the corporate arm of his company in addition to gaining experience in business partnership.
Outside of the workplace, Sauban is an avid reader and runner. He has completed some major world marathons like the Berlin and London marathons. More frequently, he completes 5K and 10K runs, complementing his running with yoga and golfing. He runs 5K with his wife Lubna and has completed aquathons, triathlons, and a half Ironman with his daughter Nimra. In addition to sports, the three travel the globe every chance they get and take keen interest in history, food, and culture of their travel destination.
