About Sonia Postema

Sonia started her career with the Walt Disney Company greeting guests in the Magic Kingdom. She spent six years recruiting for Hyatt Hotels in three locations: Columbus, OH, Boston, MA, and Dallas, TX. While with the Hyatt Regency Dallas, Sonia assisted with recruiting for the new Grand Hyatt Dallas, filling roles within the kitchen, operations, and food and beverage departments. Sonia left Hyatt to become a recruiter for Wachovia Bank to build out their new footprint in Austin and Houston, TX, using a behavioral interview style.

Over the past 20+ years, Sonia continued to build her Human Resources and Recruiting knowledge while building strategy and processes in various industries such as K-12 education, banking, and technology. Sonia created the first nationwide internal manufacturing and distribution recruiting department for Fanatics, including opening a brand-new distribution center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sonia is experienced with entry-level roles through the C-suite and finds joy in every step of the process. She has also energized startups by finding talented leaders, specifically in the California market.

Sonia’s primary focus is to create a world-class recruiting experience for both the candidate and the hiring organization. This experience includes regular communication, career coaching, and follow-up. Sonia defines success as when an ideal hiring match is made.
