Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Supervise kitchen staff under the direction of the Executive Sous Chef
  • Ensure foods are prepared in accordance with company standards for quality, freshness, consistency, and timelines
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely via OSHA regulations
  • Ensure proper food storage and safe handling practices
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of foods as order volume dictates
  • Other duties as dictated by Executive Chef in order to run smooth BOH operations
  • Oversee the managerial aspects of the Kitchens, with focus on Food Cost, labor Cost, upkeep of Recipe Viewer software
  • Oversee and enhance our antipasto bars. When needed work in the restaurants to fill in for Chefs and Exec Sous Chef

Position Requirements

  • 2 Years Strong BOH experience in high volume casual dining as an Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume (min $6 Mil +) reputable casual dining company
  • Ability to work under pressure with ease, especially during very busy meal periods
  • Display strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Some experience with financials, planning and reporting a plus
  • Some experience in analyzing inventory vs. ordering needs
  • Loyal and passionate about service
