Client Overview Founded in 2013, Our Client is a scratch-kitchen based full-service concept offering a very creative and unusual menu (from traditional pub-fare to gourmet-quality entrees), brick-oven pizzas, an extensive selection of bourbons and award-winning hand-crafted cocktails, and a selection of craft beers.  Currently has two stores (Havertown and Media, PA) and about to open third location during 1st quarter 2019 in Malvern, PA.  Long-range plans to expand to 5 - 7 locations.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the chef  / sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers


  • 90-day training template for salaried position / 60-day training for hourly / line
  • Company covers 50% of cost for medical benefits - eligibility begins after 1st week of full-time employment
  • Annual time-off: 10 days paid vaca / 2 sick paid / 2 personal paid (salaried earn after 1st week / hourly earn of an accrual basis)

Position Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Preference for brick-oven Pizza and dough-making experience?
  • NO big chains, casino, contract, etc. -Prefers prior with smaller, focused, scratch concepts not necessarily with gastro-pubs (e.g., if from a sushi venue, can add diversity)
  • Experience in prep, knife skills and grilling
  • Tenure: Avoid job-hoppers - must have record of staying with past employers for minimum of 1-year
  • Maximum commute of 30-minutes
