Position Overview & Responsibilities

A Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of a restaurant. Kitchen managers hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, kitchen managers ensure that the companies standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager experience in a successful, $4.0 - $5.0 Million volume casual or upscale RESTAURANT / SPORTS BAR is required.
  • Casual or upscale casual full-service background with food and alcohol service
  • Passionate about Back-Of-House operations, great food and great service
  • Experience managing AvT food costs, Back-Of-House ordering and inventory, P&L management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills   , passion for developing others
  • Stable employment history, no more than 2 jobs in 5 years, no unexplainable gaps
  • Approachable leadership style, quick thinking, passion for developing self and others
  • OK with late nights (1100 - 200am hours)
