Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Executes a flawless bakery operation
  • Builds genuine guest connections, delivers world class hospitality and holds team members accountable to the same standard
  • Prepares for and recovers from peak guest demands by adjusting labor plan and deployment as necessary
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, and recipes
  • Executes marketing initiatives and campaigns as directed
  • Supports and works in the kitchen and manages the production process to ensure the right quantity of quality products are delivered
  • Ensures bakery-wide training to foster team member development and succession planning. Ensures effective cross-training of team members and that checklists and training trackers are followed and complete.  Teaches through example and is hand-on in both FOH and BOH.
  • Does not tolerate poor performance and addresses performance issues in real time and makes changes as necessary
  • Provides constant feedback both in the moment and through more formalized tools
  • Oversees all HR administration
  • Manages P&L with a primary focus on labor, COGS as well as other operating expenses
  • Builds efficient Guest Services labor schedules that are consistent with sales forecasts and budgets
  • Reviews Culinary schedules to ensure that total bakery coverage is accounted for
  • Ensures daily cash deposits are accurate and deposited at bank (as appropriate)

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years as a General Manager over a $1.5+ Million unit in the luxury, hospitality, food service and/or retail industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or hospitality management preferred
  • Access to an automobile and possesses drivers’ insurance that meets the company’s required limits
  • Working knowledge of a kitchen operation
  • Track record of leading and developing teams through clearly articulating expectations and holding team members accountable
  • Ability to read and analyze a P&L and uses the tool to effectively drive the business
