Client OverviewOur Hospitality Client started in 2009 with a single food truck. With great success and an amazing team behind them, they’ve since expanded to three food trucks, six brick & mortar restaurants and two craft cocktail bars and have started franchising across the US. Even though they have great plans to continually expand in the future, they’re still a small company and will always be a small company at heart. This means employees aren’t a faceless number. .

Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements creative and industry-leading training techniques to ensure the standards of excellence in our products, goods, and services translates to profitable outcomes.
  • Assists in the annual preparation of training budgets
  • Maximizes profits by controlling expenses within the restaurant and through the training material transferred to new team members
  • Identifies, evaluates and responds appropriately to efficiency problems
  • Monitors restaurant management and employee schedules to ensure the location is meeting the demands of the business and controlling costs
  • Assists restaurant leaders in identifying growth opportunities in restaurant team members
  • Executes and follows up on financial results on a period basis
  • Executes and is accountable for all controllable financial results on a period basis according to plan for the Training Team.


  • Corporate - 2 week's vacation after 6 months
  • AGM's 1 week vacation - paid time off = 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
  • 401k (not matching)

Position Requirements

  • • Minimum of two to three years of experience in a Learning and Development capacity. • Demonstrated success in transferring knowledge and skills. • Ability to focus positive energy in Human and Organizational Development • Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations, restaurant/food safety procedures, federal and state employment laws, on-boarding and employee exit requirements • Must have computer and Point of Sale (POS) skills with a proficiency in Word, Excel, and the ability to navigate through the Internet and various software platforms used by the company • Ability to successfully perform all job duties of all service positions in the restaurant • Ability to work a minimum of 55 hours a week if business demand requires it • Food Safety Manager certification required • Covid Vaccination Required • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the English language • Ability to communicate basic demands in Spanish (fluent Spanish preferred) • Possesses basic math skill (add, subtract, multiply, divide) • Places a value on diversity, inclusion, community, and shows respect for others • Proven ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations • Ability to interpret financial statements and understand contributing factors • Must be prepared to multitask in accordance with the demands of the business • Ability to identify and anticipate opportunities and implement corrective action steps • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings and work in restaurant operations until such a time where the staff and business is sustainable.
