Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful management of all private and Club events, providing assistants throughout all areas of the Club. Ensures quality of products and service with intent to provide highest level of member and guest experience.
  • Manage a direct the banquet service staff including dining, bar and food runners. Shared responsibility with F&B Management staff for hiring, training, scheduling, payroll approval, inventories and performance assessment. Ensures staff is always professional in appearance and performance.
  • Establish and maintain constant and professional communication with event host and ensures member/guest expectations are met.
  • Responds to and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages and service. Engages with members as well as staff and is empathetic to needs of both. Keeps Assistant General Manager and Director of Events informed of problems or concerns.
  • Serves as liaison between banquet staff and kitchen staff. Exhibits strong communication with kitchen staff to ensure a successful event timeline and flow.

Position Requirements

  • Five Years F&B experience, preferably in multiple Front of House positions
  • Two years of high-end event and/or private club event management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work well in large groups of people in team environment
  • Must be able to work in stressful, high-pressure situations, including ability to handle complaints and resolve problems to satisfactory result.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on Club’s schedule of events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel, restaurant POS systems.)
  • Minimum five-day work week, with average 40 hours, seasonally up to 50 hours/week.
