Front Of The House

Are you a people pleaser? Like to keep busy with lots of variety in your job? Up front, we’re always on the go—greeting customers, taking orders, running the register and making folks feel at home. You’ll be serving, smiling, sharing delicious free samples, and of course, encouraging one and all to join in for our daily salute to the flag at noon. You might be bussing tables and restocking supplies one minute, then chatting about our one-of-a-kind memorabilia with visitors, veterans and active duty heroes. Back of House This is where the good stuff comes from. You’re a cook, prep professional, and behind-the-scenes multi-tasker ready to make the best BBQ in America. You’ll get a taste for doing it all in the kitchen (and be the first to taste everything for quality assurance!) It’s fast paced, on-your-feet hard work, but fun and full of opportunity to create pure passion on a plate. During peak periods it gets hot, especially when your Front Of The House fellow Teammates are taking good care of customers. Off peak, you’re getting ready for the next rush. You’ll get a rush out of it either way.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs BOH / kitchen operations and its staff
  • Assists in the supervision of FOH Management team and employees
  • Assists in sourcing and recruiting talent
  • Plans and leads shift meetings for BOH, builds camaraderie and team spirit
  • Handles questions and concerns of the team, keeps GM informed of any and all employee relation issues
  • Maintains high cleanliness standards, holds Team Members accountable for adherence to daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
  • Creates weekly BOH schedules in compliance with set budget
  • Conducts regular line checks to ensure order accuracy, recipe adherence, and timely response

Position Requirements

  • Must have high volume experience of $3 million or more
  • Able to embrace 100% of company mission, goals and philosophy
  • A proven track record
  • Strong leadership qualities - ability to direct and "grow a team"
  • Should have a mix of FOH & BOH experience (will assist GM in both areas)
  • Accustomed to planning and leading shift meetings, particularly for BOH employees
  • Familiar with  ServSafe Alcohol, Food, and ACC standards
  • Experience creating weekly schedule for BOH employees while staying within budgeted labor guidelines
  • Experience in running a kitchen that has a set menu and set ingredients list, used to adhering to recipes
  • Experience analyzing restaurant performance via line checks, audits, P&L, and more
