Position Overview & Responsibilities

A Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of a restaurant. Kitchen managers hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, kitchen managers ensure that the companies standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Kitchen Management or chef experience in a casual full-service restaurant $1.5MM - $3MM
  • Track-record of successfully managing Kitchen Ops including COGS, labor and inventory
  • Corporate restaurant experience is a plus
  • Great leadership and people management skills - scheduling, training, etc.
  • Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent (Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields are preferred. Culinary degree preferred)
