Position Overview & Responsibilities

A Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of a restaurant. Kitchen managers hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, kitchen managers ensure that the companies standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience of Kitchen Management experience in a high volume, full-service scratch kitchen
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Ability to train, develop, and motivate a diverse employee group on a daily basis
  • Approachable to guests and staff with a servant’s heart leadership style
  • Must be flexible in work schedule and hours based on operational needs
  • Ability to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are in use on a daily basis
