Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with relevant staff on different systems related issues pertaining to the PMS, POS
  • Establish and maintain department standards with focus on exceptional service.
  • Work with members of the IT team at the corporate office as required.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Finance on different IT projects and support related issues at the property..
  • Prioritize projects and support work-load at the resort.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to keep the knowledge base at the properties current.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Contributes to department and organization mission and goals.
  • Flexibility to assume the most effective role, if called upon.
  • Proactively monitor and administer the network operating systems, workstation operating systems, security, safety, backups and network management procedures related to the systems within his/her focus for the resort. Assemble, disassemble, repair, install, and de-install computers and related equipment. Install, update and otherwise manage the operating systems of the installed equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventories of equipment assembled, received and distributed. Maintain an organized, safe and clean work area.  Participate in job related training, classes, conventions, seminars and personal knowledge enrichment opportunities as directed.
  • Meets operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and review; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
  • Evaluate, create and implement efficiencies for improved operational and service standards.

Position Requirements

    • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a College or University Information Technology program
    • Microsoft Certification preferred must.
    • Experience with multifactor authentication would be an asset
    • A minimum of three years IT experience in hybrid networking environments is required.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office 2013 and up, network technologies and concepts, including TCP/IP, SMTP and Ethernet, Wide Area Networks, operating systems and different hardware a must.
    • Cisco experience and knowledge of SQL a plus.
    • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills necessary.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of associates at the property and ensure an acceptable level of understanding is achieved.
    • Must be able to develop and design effective and feasible systems plans for the properties
    • Lift up to 25 lbs., bending, stretching.
    • Sit and/or stand long periods
