Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Manager works closely with the Executive Housekeeping Director to oversee the housekeeper and general cleaner positions to ensure that all departmental standards, policies and procedures are completed and exceeded. Responsibilities Include:
  • Verifies guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner
  • Inspects guestrooms
  • Inventories stock to verify adequate supplies
  • Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space
  • Supervises daily Housekeeping shift operations and verifies compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
  • Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired result

Position Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of Housekeeping management experience in a 24/7 environment including staff selection, coaching, counseling, and discipline
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and multi tasking abilities
  • Budgeting and financial experience
  • Management experience working in a fast paced, multi cultural environment is extremely helpful
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule (including graveyard) depending on business needs
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
