Client OverviewThis establishment was built in 1993.  It is steps away from the beach.  Very busy hotel.  It ranks in the top 10 in retention nights out of 4000 properties.  They have 100% occupancy throughout the summer with an ADR of 400-500.  The hotel went through a $6 million renovation and just reopened in June 2021.  Property has 118 newly renovated guest rooms.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and developing new corporate accounts
  • Developing local corporate accounts (outside sales calls)
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
  • Preparing correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
  • Negotiate day meetings business that meets or exceeds hotel revenue goals
  • Negotiate contracts, ensuring that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
  • Create a dynamic and positive relationship with customer from sales phase through site execution of event
  • Trade Organization Participation
  • Internal Communication
  • Servicing of Accounts as needed
  • Follow-up on leads and referrals in a timely manner
  • Return phone calls promptly

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Proactive sales approach
  • Ability to identify and target accounts
  • Ability to successfully prospect new business
  • Track record of developing long term relationships
  • Expertise in effectively closing business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate, including word, outlook, excel, and other office products
  • Daily, weekly and monthly tracking of transient account production and reporting as required
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries, lead referrals, and existing clients
  • Develop knowledge of the competition to better aid in the solicitation of accounts and network with industry peers to increase referral business
  • Continual follow up with customers
