Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the service and operational performance of the Bridal buying department meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Assist fellow associates with special requests to acquire jewelry, watches and gemstones for clients.
  • Develop and execute a training strategy and training materials to improve knowledge and grow expertise of responsible departments.
  • Exceed each customer’s expectations.
  • Nurture relationships with existing Bridal vendors and research and develop relationships with other Bridal vendors.
  • Collaborate with fellow associates to build awareness of product, industry and marketplace.
  • Provide outstanding after sales service.
  • Lead the acquisition of estate jewelry.
  • Grade, price, and appraise watches and Bridal jewelry for Guests and Clients.
  • Evaluate inventory needs and manage Open to Buy reports for Bridal categories.
  • Provide oversight of operations in area of responsibility.
  • Ensure accurate inventory of watches through weekly physical inventory and reconciliation.
  • Maintain operational standards and execute all administrative duties required in the Bridal jewelry department.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create Bridal advertising.
  • Balance the Bridal inventory between the stores regularly.

Position Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service orientation with strong degree of professionalism
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in building relationships and resolving concerns.
  • Excellent problem identification, analysis and problem- solving skills.
  • Excellent telephone communication, administrative, data entry/retrieval, and computer skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and success in team collaboration
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computerized valuation and CRM programs
  • Working knowledge of Bridal industry standards.
  • Outstanding skills in grading, pricing and appraising watches, gemstones and Bridal jewelry.
  • Three years of jewelry purchasing experience required.
  • Bridal category purchasing experience a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to Travel up to 20%
