Position Overview & Responsibilities

  • This position is for a hands-on Service Manager who has knowledge and experience of a Marine Mechanic
  • Willing to train candidates from other industries (cars, trucks, construction equipment, etc.)
  • Monday through Friday 8:00 – 5:00
  • ½ days on  Saturdays during heavy season

Position Requirements

  • Team Player with strong Mechanical and Organizational Skills
  • Experience with Beneteau, Sea Ray and Cutwater Power Boats & Yachts a plus
  • Assist Manager with Warrantee Claims
  • Oversee the process and personnel who service customer boats and motors
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by maintaining a customer record and follow-up system
  • Resolve customer complaints and build loyal clientele for the dealership
  • Coordinate with the Parts Manager to ensure that all Special Order parts are ordered and received promptly and that appropriate inventory is maintained
  • Maintain attractive shop and service reception areas that minimize clutter and will create a positive reaction from customers
  • Assist Marina Manager with personnel matters, interviewing, hiring and training and supervision
  • Assist with oversight of payroll and performance bonuses
  • Maintain dealership equipment in good and safe working condition
  • Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries on status of repairs
  • Maintain Technician efficiency and productivity are at accepted levels
