Position Overview & Responsibilities

Validate invoices weekly from point-of-sale upload
Monthly invoice uploads
Weekly payment runs
Period close tasks
Collaborate with all departments
Ensures proper accounting procedures are being followed for processing invoices for payment
Reconciles account statements from vendors
Correspond with vendor inquiries
Correspond with restaurant inquiries
Verify and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain and create vendors
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Provide supporting documentation for audits
Other duties and projects as assigned by the Senior AP Specialist and Assistant Controller

Benefits

Health, Medical & Vision, Dental - First of the month following the start date.

Vacation - 2 weeks after the first year - 3 weeks after 5 years.

Position Requirements

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication, interpersonal and influence skills
Ability to work well both independently and with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Ability to communicate and work effectively with vendors, restaurant managers and RSC departments
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient with MS Word and Excel
Experience with Great Plains strongly preferred or equivalent, in addition to any document management system
