Jamba Juice Adds Food to Its Menu

Keeping customers’ wants in mind, Jamba Juice launched its new menu this week. Research showed customers don’t feel a smoothie alone is enough of a meal, and that they want food with their smoothie. The new menu is comprised of healthy flatbreads, salads and wraps. And I must say, these menu items look and sound delicious!

The new menu items will first be at 222 stores in California and will be available at all 732 locations within the next year. Jamba stresses the importance of healthy living, so of course, the new menu items have no artificial flavors, preservatives, high-fructose corn syrup or trans fat.

Nation’s Restaurant News reported that the new food lineup comes with a “renewed emphasis on franchising, particularly in non-traditional locations. Jamba said the company plans to refranchise 150 company-owned locations to help pay down debt and finance growth.”

When Jamba Juice recognized declining sales, it acted swiftly, differentiated its menu and is proactively franchising. All the while, Jamba didn’t forget it’s healthy mission.

Boston Franchise and Finance Show Recap

Todd Silberhorn, Senior Recruiter and Franchise Sales; Sabrina Ball, Administrative Assistant, and myself attended the Boston Franchise and Finance Show this past weekend.

We arrived last Friday to set up our brand new booth display which reflects our new branding.  We met many great people in Boston and hope to partner with some franchisees as the result.

It was the first trip to Boston for all of us, so we also made time for sightseeing and fun. We toured the city and got to see all of Boston’s historical sites. We started with a dinner at the oldest restaurant in North America, the Union Oyster House. We also took a harbor cruise. On the cruise, we saw the steeple of the Old North Church, where lanterns alerted Paul Revere before his famous ride. We also saw Fort Warren, which protected the Boston Harbor during the Civil War, and we saw the site where the famous Boston Tea Party took place. At sunset, we watched as Old Ironsides ceremonial lighting of the canons and lowering the flags.
